A Registered Massage Therapist since 2013, Ashley is a highly-educated and well-rounded practitioner with specialization in Craniosacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation. She is passionate about helping people and believes Massage Therapy to be an effective method in achieving pain relief and balance of the body and mind. Whether clients are new or ongoing, Ashley approaches every treatment with a fresh and flexible mindset, committed to assessing the evolving needs of each body. Her favourite appointments are when people say, "This is my primary concern today, but I trust you'll figure out what my body really needs."
Ashley has been a member in good standing with the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada (NHPC) since graduating from the thorough 2200-hour Massage Therapy program at MacEwan University. Her continued education in Craniosacral Therapy has been through the highly recognized Upledger Institute and her Visceral Manipulation course work is ongoing through Upledger's affiliated Barral Institute.
In massage treatments, Ashley also integrates modalities such as Myofascial Release, Cupping, Intra-oral work, and Trigger Point Therapy as needed. “I do not consider myself a deep tissue therapist. While I can use deeper pressure where required, my goal is always to help the body realign at its own pace in the most pain-free manner."
A brief list of conditions and clients Ashley most enjoys working with and has seen great improvements with include:
When Ashley isn't at the clinic, she works part time as a published young adult fiction author. Otherwise, she keeps busy reading books that make her cry, walking her Golden-Aussie pup, or watching action movies with her love.
