Ashley Weiss, RMTAshley, having been a Registered Massage therapist since 2013, is a well-rounded therapist with specialization in Craniosacral therapy. She is highly passionate in helping people through physical and emotional pain within the body, and believes massage therapy to be an effective method in achieving pain relief and balance of the body and mind. Through her extensive and comprehensive education, Ashley treats each client as a new individual with a different treatment protocol; determined by both education as well as intuition.
Ashley has been a member in good standing with the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada (NHPC) since graduating the thorough 2200 hour program at Grant MacEwan University. Her continued education in craniosacral therapy has been through the highly recognized Upledger Institute. Craniosacral therapy (CST), is a light touch modality that can be used both on its own as well as in conjunction with Massage Therapy. It is a process of treating the nervous system through gentle manipulation of the bones and tissues of the body. Conditions treated with CST include: · Headaches and migraines · Whiplash · PTSD · ADHD and Dyslexia · TMJ Dysfunction · Depression · Emotional traumas · MS and Parkinson’s · Any disorder of the nerves or nervous system, and the list goes on! In massage treatments, Ashley integrates modalities such as Myofascial Release, Manual Lymph Drainage, and Trigger Point Therapy into her sessions as needed. “I do use deep tissue when required, however I prefer to use alternative techniques to the help the body heal not only at its own pace, but in the most effective and pain free mannerism. I also believe that in order to achieve balance, you must treat the body as well as the emotional state or mindset of each client."
