Andrea Cayenne, BSc, RMT
Andrea Cayenne graduated from the 2200 hour Massage Therapy Studies Program at Grant MacEwan in 2003 and has been practicing massage therapy in Alberta since. Andrea has been a member in good standing with the Massage Therapist Association of Alberta since 2004. Andrea has specialized training in sports massage therapy and experience working with many levels of athletes from varying team and individualized sports. Andrea has experience working with clients of all ages and uses a combination of relaxation and therapeutic massage techniques. Andrea has experience working with varying conditions including but not limited to multiple sclerosis, arthritis, degenerative disc disease, scoliosis, joint replacement, migraine/head ache, sciatic nerve impingement, soft tissue injuries, whiplash associated disorder, and diabetes mellitus. Andrea is passionate about helping her client rehabilitate from injury and achieve their goals. Andrea also enjoys providing pregnant clients with prenatal massage therapy.
Andrea has previously served in her community as an athletic trainer and first responder for minor hockey, inline hockey and junior hockey for over 7 years. Here she gained experience assessing and treating acute injuries and providing emergency first aid care while working with other health care professionals. Andrea continues to pursue her education to gain further skills to apply in her client centered approach.
